Bleeding gold-rimmed triumph, the Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee is honoured to introduce the logo for the academic year 2022-23, marking its rejuvenation after two years of an online uphill battle. Brace yourselves for the resurgence of the Advanced Criminal Law Studies Committee.
Our motif, ‘the rising Phoenix’, mirrors our renaissance. This mythological bird is the symbol of rebirth, renewal, immortality, healing, and eternal fire. It represents the rebirth from the ashes and our next step towards a new chapter of ACLSC.
The royal blue portraying our faithful poise, and grey symbolizing balance, encapsulate the principles we vow to uphold. The color blue signifies ‘knowledge and integrity’, whereas gold signifies ‘optimism and hope’, thus portraying the intricate relationship between the two ideas that allow us to return from the flames, clothed in our strength, like the Phoenix.
The gavel represents the authority of law and embodies the will and power of our committee members. The symbol of balance, on the other hand, represents justice and fairness. The fire depicts our passion for carrying our committee as one of the most prestigious ones at School of Law, Christ.
With the renewal of our offline events, ACLSC promises to deliver a heap of opportunities to the student body to help them explore the skill of trial advocacy and enhance their knowledge in the field of criminal law. The committee is all set to step into the courtrooms of SLCU with its conviction: Fīat jūstitia ruat cælum: “Let justice be done though the heavens fall”.
Judge for yourself because the verdict is out!
